Art Therapy in the Museum: Regular Groups

Together with the Museum of Moscow, we have launched regular closed face-to-face art therapy groups for city residents.
In Russia, museums are gradually transforming from places for storing and exhibiting artworks into centers of urban life and local communities, where people gather, spend time, and participate in cultural and educational programs.

The time has now come for art therapy groups to become a part of this new museum culture.
The sessions take place at the Museum of Moscow and the Gilyarovsky Center.

The group welcomes individuals aged 23 and older who feel the need for group support, seeking out social interaction, and who are going through a challenging period in life, and see the potential for creativity and community for their development.

Participation is free of charge.

To participate in the group, it is necessary to fill out an application and then undergo an interview with specialists from SAMO.

We are excited about this unique collaboration between SAMO and the state institution.

We hope that the project will continue to grow and evolve, and that it will become a cultural norm rather than just a long-term initiative.

We are looking forward to the possibility of also opening regular groups for children!
