NGO Projects

The non-profit organization SAMO Studio, Center for Psychology and Art Therapy, provides systematic support to specific demographic groups and implements non-profit projects, the beneficiaries of which do not pay for the services provided by the studio.
Since the NGO was registered in 2020, SAMO Studio specialists have conducted more than 500 sessions for over 350 unique beneficiaries as part of Hospice.

Our team has also organized an open cycle of lectures on art therapy for specialists in helping professions, museum staff, and citizens, attracting leading global and Russian art therapists as lecturers in partnership with the Museum of Moscow. Several thousand listeners viewed the lectures.
Based on this course, SAMO Studio, in cooperation with the Museum of Moscow, has launched free art therapy groups for citizens at the museum site.

SAMO Studio guarantees the quality of the team’s work, thanks to the constant evaluation of its effectiveness, as well as regular supervisions.

The studio measures the effectiveness of the specialists' work quantitatively and qualitatively using the ‘Strengths and Weaknesses' questionnaire and interviewing beneficiaries and their families.
The Studio selects narrowly specialized supervisors as specialists depending on the requests of the beneficiaries.
Monitoring and Evaluation System
The SAMO Studio team, in the process of providing art therapy support, relies on a monitoring and evaluation system in its work. The purpose of the monitoring and evaluation system is to continuously integrate client feedback in the form of adapting programs within the existing resources of the studio and preparing reports to donors, grantors, and project partners in case of implementing programs that are free for clients.
The monitoring and evaluation system in projects providing therapeutic support includes:
  • Online completion of the entrance questionnaire before client interaction or by the client’s representative, for example, if the client is a person under 18 years old.
  • Surveying the client using a standard questionnaire before and after support (2−4, 4−17, 18+). The questionnaire consists of 25 statements with which the client needs to express their degree of agreement. Clients can fill out the questionnaire themselves from the age of 11, for clients under 11 the questionnaire is filled out by a significant adult. When completing the questionnaire, the client does not provide personal data.
  • Feedback through a designated form includes responses to closed and open questions in the form of a questionnaire without providing personal data.
  • Regular supervision of cases based on practice.
How does SAMO Studio use received information?
  • The results of the elements of the monitoring and evaluation system are used in a generalized form to decide whether changes need to be implemented in the support program. Such decisions are made by the organizational team of the program when analyzing the standard questionnaire, customer feedback, and supervisors.
  • The SAMO Studio team, donors and grantors (in the case of client support) can use quotes from feedback without disclosing confidential information in their social networks and internal reporting with the consent of clients, expressed in the therapeutic agreement (informed consent).
  • The SAMO Studio team, for the purpose of creating an archive of SAMO Studio, finding funds for organizing art therapy sessions, as well as providing reports on the targeted use of funds to donors, use photographs of the client’s creative work without disclosing confidential information (using photographs of the client’s creative work).
